How coached hands work

Scripted hands at a table of four, with play chips. You sit at the bottom; Mia, Leo and Ana sit around the table, and the white disc shows who has the dealer button. It moves one seat to the left every hand, like at a real table.

The coach pauses at every decision. Pick the move you’d make: if it’s a different one from the coach’s, you’ll hear why, and you can choose again. From Stage 2 the coach also asks questions, like how many outs you have, before you decide.

Questions

Are the other players real?

No. Mia, Leo and Ana are part of the lessons, and every hand is scripted. They keep their styles in every hand: Mia is careful, Leo bets a lot and often bluffs, and Ana calls almost everything.

Who is the coach?

The creature of the rank you’re working toward: the pufferfish in Stage 1, the octopus in Stage 2, and so on up to the narwhal.

Can I play a hand again?

Yes. Pick any hand at the top. Your progress keeps the hands you’ve finished.

Is there real money involved?

No. The chips are play chips, and there’s nothing to buy or win. RankMyHand is for learning only.
